12 TIPS TO MAKE YOUR PERFUME LAST LONGER

PERFUME LAST LONGER – The scent is the little personal touch often added at the end of the morning routine. But sometimes, after just a few hours, it is completely gone. There are no more misconceptions that your skin cannot hold the perfume or that this fragrance is made for you! There are tips to make your scent last longer, and we tell you all about it in this article!

1. MOISTURIZE YOUR SKIN

While this is one of the essential steps in displaying beautiful skin, on the other hand, hydrating yourself will also allow your scent to last longer. If you use perfume after applying cream, the fragrances will pick up by the cream’s fatty substance, and the smell will stay on the skin longer. It is not the case if your perfume is directly on dry skin!

2. ADD OIL

The trick is based on the same principle as with the moisturizer. Body oils are ideal for keeping your scent longer, so don’t hesitate to use them! Spread a little vegetable oil (preferably unscented) on the areas of the body you want to perfume, and spray your fragrance afterward. It will last much longer than on dry skin, and your skin will thank you too!

3. USE PETROLEUM JELLY

Here is a trick that has proven! Since petroleum jelly fills with occlusive active ingredients, it allows your skin to retain the scent more. You have to put a small dose of petroleum jelly in the palm of your hand, mix, and rub the places you want to scent. Let it penetrate your skin well, and then perfume yourself. Guaranteed hold!

4. CHOOSE YOUR PERFUME CAREFULLYCHOOSE YOUR PERFUME CAREFULLY

While anyone can wear perfume, it is also true that some skin types retain smells more quickly than others, and it may be a good idea to take this into account. Since the skin is a living, breathable and sweaty organ, this can affect how it retains odor. If your skin tends to have odors easily, do not hesitate to go for an eau de toilette because it will hold on to you longer.

You should know that, on average, an eau de toilette is composed of aromatic essences at a level of 7 to 12%. Eau de parfum is concentrated between 12 and 20%, while perfume displays a rate that varies between 20 and 40%.

5. KNOW WHERE TO STORE IT

Here is an aspect of the conservation of perfume that is often neglected: the place it occupies. Know that humidity and heat, strongly present in a bathroom, reduce the quality of your bouquet and break it down. It would help if you stored your perfume in a dry place, away from light and heat, and preferably away from windows to avoid this phenomenon.

6. TURN TO THE AMBER SCENT

If you have the brand that your perfume is lacking in the hold or that its smell tends to wear off quickly, you can opt for amber scents. Indeed, these give off a much more powerful odor than mild perfumes. No need to add fragrance all day long, once will be enough!

7. BE STRATEGIC

It is well known that places are more favorable than others on the body to retain the perfume. So use this knowledge and strategically choose your body’s “hot” areas, which maintain fragrances longer. These are the neck, cleavage, back of the ears, and the inside of the elbows. You can also perfume your ankles and the back of your knees.

8. PERFUME YOUR BRUSH

Hair is also an excellent ally when making the scent last longer. However, do not spray your perfue directly on them: you could dry them out and damage them from the alcohol. Instead, spray the fragrance on your hairbrush. They will be scented sparingly but all over and won’t miss!

9. STOP FRICTION

It is a familiar gesture that it would be good to stop as soon as possible: rub your wrists after having sprayed perfume on them. Contrary to popular belief, this gesture helps to make the scents disappear faster than usual!

10. PERFUME YOUR CLOTHES

If you want to make your scent last longer, spraying it directly on it is a good idea. Spray a little in your cupboards and drawers. The textile fibers retain odors for longer. Be careful with cashmere and silk clothes and white clothes, which could be stained.

11. OPT FOR A SOLID PERFUME

Solid fragrances are much more concentrated than classic fragrances. They are most often found in balms and are much easier to transport in your handbag. You have to apply a little to smell good all day long!

12. MIX ASSOCIATED PRODUCTS

One last bright tip: don’t hesitate to mix the products associated with your perfume. Today, more and more brands are releasing complete ranges of derivative products: body cream, shower gel, deodorant, etc. Use them to make your perfume smell last longer. You will smell great from morning to night!
